As much as we sometimes sigh when the Mt. Lebanon deer eat our roses or when bunnies upend our impatiens, one of the thrills of living here can be to watch our native wildlife, whether they’re feeding their young, enjoying a spring day or singing a song in the park. Rich Zahren, a retired executive who lives on Salem Drive, a few years ago turned his camera on our creatures (in addition to taking trips around the world to photograph everything from big cats to little lemurs). We share the second of our two-part series in our March issue.
