When Alfredo Briceno opened AB Tax [2] five or so years ago, it was just him in a cubicle in Beechview. Since then, the accounting and tax management firm has expanded to 10 employees, mostly family. After spending time in Beechview, Brookline and Dormont, AB Tax has opened its new office at 660 Washington Road, Suite 303.
Briceno, a native of Venezuela, offers bilingual services, and much of his clientele is Hispanic.
“When I came here, 32 years ago, there were very few Hispanics in the area,” he said. “The population has grown dramatically.”
AB held a grand opening today, which was broadcast live over Radio Las Palmas, a Hispanic radio station that broadcasts from the Beechview Hispanic grocery with the same name, and featured food from several of AB’s clients, including Cilantro & Ajo on the South Side.
AB Tax specializes in personal and corporate tax preparation, bookkeeping and other accounting services, including payroll, estate tax preparation and IRS representation. The office is open from 8 to 5 on weekdays and by appointment on Saturdays. Look for more in the April issue of Mt. Lebanon Magazine.
