Vote: Peep-le’s Choice Awards
Hey Peeps! It’s time to vote for your favorite Peeps dioramas in Mt. Lebanon Public Library’s eighth annual Peep-le’s Choice Awards.
The marshmallow Peeps event is hosted by the library’s children’s department. “It’s just a fun thing to do and people get such enjoyment from it,” said librarian Dana Jones, who brought the idea to the library’s attention.
The contest challenges kids and families to create a book-themed diorama using the fluffy, gooey goodies. Shoeboxes and empty tissue boxes are frequent backdrops.
Some of the themes this year include Peeper Pan, Little Red Riding Peep, Peepunzel, PeepNStein, The Great Gats Peep and The Hunch Peep of Notre Dame.
The public is invited to view the entries on display at the Mt. Lebanon Public Library, 16 Castle Shannon Boulevard, through April 2, and cast a vote for the Peep-le’s Choice Award winner in each of four categories: kids, teen, family and adult.
Winners will be announced on April 6. Prizes include baskets of Peeps themed gifts.
