Garden Railroad: Movie Magic

Explore scenes inside a miniature movie set at Phipps Conservatory [2]. The train display features all movie genres, from fantasy and western, to horror and action, with bonus interactive opportunities. The Garden Railroad brings Hollywood magic to the glasshouse. Exhibit open during regular operating hours.
I Am Wild

The Children’s Museum of Pittsburgh presents a new exhibit, I Am Wild, by artist Charlie Harper, inspired by the children’s books of the same name. Children can explore biodiversity through the immersive play experiences and artwork of the desert, rainforest, ocean, sky, woods and city. Exhibit open January 25 through August 31.
Romeo and Juliet
Friday-Sunday, February 14-16
Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre presents a timely Valentine’s Day performance: Romeo and Juliet [3]. The ballet version of Shakespeare’s classic story is accompanied by music from Sergei Prokofiev played by PBT Orchestra. Benedum Center, five performances, times vary.
Sound Series: Amythyst Kiah
Thursday, February 27
The Warhol Theater presents Grammy-nominated songwriter and guitarist Amythyst Kiah [4] for a solo performance. Her 2021 breakthrough album Wary + Strange made Rolling Stone’s list of the 25 best country and Americana albums. Doors open at 7 p.m., show starts at 8. Tickets are $25 for general admission and $20 members or students.
Storkbites
Tuesdays, January 7-February 18
Storkbites, facilitated by a retired OB nurse, is a group for new moms and their babies (0-12 months) to find friendship and support. The next group meets for six weeks, beginning January 7, on Tuesdays, 10 a.m. to noon at Mt. Lebanon United Methodist Church.
