Orange barrel season is just around the corner. Crews from Niando Construction will be reconstructing 11 Mt. Lebanon streets this summer (and possibly two alternates) at a cost of $2.052 million, which is more than $100,000 below the engineers’ estimate and more than $300,000 less than the amount that was budgeted for street reconstruction. Funding for road reconstruction comes from the capital improvement budget ($1.286 million) and the stormwater fund ($766,000).
Streets slated for repair this year are:

- Midway Road from Castle Shannon Boulevard to Lemoyne Avenue
- Morrison Drive from North Meadowcroft Avenue to Newburn Drive
- Old Hickory Road from 888 Old Hickory Road to Sweet Gum Road
- Pinetree Road from 723 to
