Toast of the town
Chrissy and Brad Sileo are opening a gourmet toast and juice bar at 700 Washington Road, aptly named Toastique. At this new restaurant, you’ll find colorful drinks packed with antioxidants and nutrients, sourdough topped with smoked salmon, and lattes, both with and without collagen.

“It’s a quick-casual food concept out of DC. Everything is made fresh in-house,” said Chrissy. “We’re making our own hummus, nut butters and cold-pressed juice. Everything that can be will be sourced locally.”

The breakfast-lunch casual restaurant will seat 30-35 people. Customers will order at the counter and bring food to their seats. The Sileos are exploring options to obtain a liquor license for brunch cocktails as well.
Toastique is a growing franchise and the Mt. Lebanon location will be the first to open in the Pittsburgh area.
Chrissy, who comes from a long line of small business owners, said “I’ve always wanted to own my own business and Mt. Lebanon is the perfect location for this.”
700 Washington Road used to be an Isaly’s, almost 100 years ago. “When you’re in the space, you can see the old wallpaper and tile. It’s a really great place to revive,” said Brad.
“It’s almost like we’re bringing it back to its roots, in a modern way,” Chrissy noted.
In the meantime, construction will begin to overhaul the space and make it restaurant-ready. Expected opening date for Toastique is February 2025.
