Therapist opens new office in Mt. Lebanon

ichael Ortenzo, Sleepy Hollow Road, a licensed marriage and family therapist, is opening a new office at 733 Washington Road, Suite 402.
Ortenzo earned a master’s degree in couple and family therapy from Drexel University.
“I wanted to understand people, why they think the way they do and what helps them succeed in life,” he said.
Since then, Ortenzo has honed his skills in treating anxiety, stress management and emotional regulation. He is trained in the Gottman method, a research-based approach that emphasizes communication and conflict resolution to improve relationships.
“When both people are committed to making a relationship work, the potential for growth is incredible,” he said. “I enjoy supporting people and helping them to achieve their goals or make changes in their lives.”
Magnus Mental Health will offer customized care to meet the needs of a wide range of clients.
“I believe flexibility is key in making therapy accessible, so offering both in-person and virtual options will help clients feel more comfortable and supported,” Ortenzo explained.
Ortenzo hopes to expand his practice by including workshops and programs aimed at strengthening mental health and relationship skills.
“I want to create a place where people can not only seek therapy but also engage in proactive wellness,” he said.
