Beaded Ornament and Holiday Jewelry Making

Join Kathy Shomo, author of Anyone Can Bead!, for a fun-filled, easy class in which she’ll teach basic design and construction techniques for making beaded ornaments or holiday jewelry. All supplies provided. Registration is required at 412-531-1912. Appropriate for middle school students to adults. $5 donation suggested.
Hanukkah Celebration

Light up your holiday with Hanukkah stories, card making and more! A free, family-friendly program.
Make a Gingerbread House!

Bring the kids (ages 3 and older) to the library to build and decorate a gingerbread house. The library supplies the cartons and graham crackers, you bring a can of icing and leftover Halloween candy to decorate your house. Stories and other fun activities too!

Klezmer with the Steven Greenman Klezmer Trio

Join friends and neighbors for an all-ages, after-hours cultural get-together with music, food, dance and conversation. The Steven Greenman Klezmer Trio will perform klezmer, the traditional Jewish folk music of Eastern Europe, along with original compositions and exotic musical arrangements.
Seven Elements of Classical Art

Award-winning artist, author and retired Point Park Professor James Sulkowski will discuss the seven elements of classical art. Sulkowski is a classical artist in the tradition of the Masters. His paintings reside in the collections of former President and Mrs. George H.W. Bush, the Saudi Arabian Royal Family and the Metropolitan Opera of New York.
Pittsburgh During WWII

Leslie Przybylek, the curator of history at the Senator John Heinz History Center, will discuss what Pittsburgh was like during World War II. Presented by the Historical Society of Mount Lebanon.
