HOURS, SERVICES ARE EXPANDING Mt. Lebanon Public Library has begun to expand services. Periodicals, games, and other library collections are once again available to be checked out and the quarantining of returned materials has ended. These changes were based on CDC guidelines that find a low risk of the virus being spread on surfaces.

Starting June 14, the library’s hours will be expanded to:

Monday-Thursday, 9 a.m. – 9 p.m.

Friday-Saturday, 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.

Sunday hours will resume later in the summer.

The Library’s express mode will continue through the summer. This means that availability of computers and seating inside the library will remain reduced, meeting and study rooms will remain closed, and patrons are required to wear masks when inside the building. The need for computer and browsing appointments will end beginning June 14, but staff will enforce building capacity guidelines and prevent overcrowding. Visit www.mtlebanonlibrary.org for updates.

The library will continue offering contact-free pickup service and hosting virtual-only programming. The staff is also looking forward to participating in outdoor community events this summer. Look for Mt. Lebanon Library’s storytime cart when you’re out and about.

“We’re ready for a great summer,” said Library Director Robyn Vittek. “We’re happy to be able to safely offer additional hours and services to our patrons and residents.”

Lebanon Magazine contributor Claire Schuchmann will present a three-part virtual series highlighting elements of garden design, using gardens Schuchmann has helped to design.
