symphony splendor 2018

Pittsburgh Symphony Association’s Symphony Splendor Holiday House Tour, which took place in Mt. Lebanon’s Virginia Manor for the past two years, moves to Upper St. Clair this year.
On Sunday, November 18, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., the tour will showcase homes filled with art, antiques and speial collections, allecorated for the holidays and featuring live classical music.
Now in its fifth year, Symphony Splendor takes place in one part of town for two years and then moves on, says spokesperson Jean Horne. It began in Shadyside, moved to Mt. Lebanon and after Upper St. Clair will move the other side of Pittsburgh, perhaps Fox Chapel, Horne says. That way supporters from all over the region can take part in the fund-raiser, which has raised more than $500,000 for the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra.
The tour is self-driving, but a bus is available for an extra charge. Tickets are $55 in advance or $65 on tour day. Purchase tickets at Rolllier’s, Barefoot Stitches and Gifts or Lee Heckman Custom Framing. Or buy tickets online at PittsburghSymphonyAssociation.org or by calling 412-392-3303. Pick up programs on tour day at the registration/sales booth in the Upper St. Clair High School lobby.
