Every day, St. Clair Health cares for the people of this region. We also care about them. That is why we strive to improve access to healthcare, promote healthy lifestyles and provide benefits to the community as a whole.

But we can’t do it all alone. It’s a team effort to build a healthy community. By partnering with multiple nonprofit organizations and agencies in the communities we serve, St. Clair can build on existing strengths and enhance services to improve the health and quality of life of our neighbors.

As the largest nonprofit in the South Hills, St. Clair has become the strong center of a network of nonprofits that share this vision. For example, we partner with South Hills Interfaith Movement (SHIM) and the Salvation Army to provide free health education and screenings during food pantry distribution days. St. Clair also supports the programs and initiatives of the Carnegie Boys & Girls Club to ensure school-aged children have the tools needed for a successful and bright future.

Most recently, St. Clair established a partnership with GROW Living Stones to provide hot meals to neighbors in need. Each week, the Nutritional Services team at St. Clair packages, freezes and donates prepared food that would otherwise be thrown out. The donated food is then reheated and served buffet-style at the GROW Living Stones meal ministry each Sunday afternoon. Any leftovers are sent home with our neighbors.

Together with our partners, we are working to meet our neighbors’ needs and create a community where healthful lifestyles are the norm, not the exception. As a hospital built by and for the community, St. Clair will always have the community’s best interests at heart.
