St. Clair Urgent Care will open next month at the St. Clair Hospital Outpatient Center—Village Square in Bethel Park.
Urgent Care will operate every day from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. (9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on major holidays) and will be staffed at all times by board-certified physicians, as well as registered nurses, radiology technicians and patient registrars.
“St. Clair Urgent Care is designed to treat injuries or illnesses requiring immediate care, but not serious enough to warrant a trip to our Emergency Room,” says David Kish, Executive Director, Emergency Department Services, at St. Clair Hospital. “Typical patients at Urgent Care will be seeking treatment for colds, flu, sprains, strains or lacerations.”
Kish says Urgent Care also will offer X-rays on site, rapid strep testing, flu vaccinations and sports physicals. Patients do not have to schedule an appointment; simply walk in and be seen by a physician.
Besides its convenient location across from South Hills Village Mall, another key advantage of St. Clair Urgent Care is that it is situated inside St. Clair Hospital’s Outpatient center, so patients can easily access the center’s diagnostic area if necessary. The Urgent Care center will accept all major insurance. Beginning in January, patients may call Urgent Care at 412-942-8800.
Also in January, St. Clair Hospital will open a café next to Urgent Care. The café will offer gourmet coffees, a selection of breakfast and lunch items, including danishes and other baked goods, fresh salads and fruits and ready-to-eat sandwiches. Nuts, dried fruits and other bite-sized snacks will also be available, along with bottled beverages suitable for breakfast and lunch.
