The Center for Urologic Care has joined St. Clair Medical Services, teaming with the practice of Kevin P. Bordeau, M.D., who practiced for years with urologist Arnold Sholder, M.D. This union has created the region’s largest, most progressive urology practice, offering state-of-the-art, patient-centered care for the treatment of urologic conditions.
St. Clair Medical Services is the employed physician network of St. Clair Health Corporation and serves the primary, specialty and hospital-based needs of patients.
Jay A. Lutins, M.D., who served as senior partner at the Center for Urologic Care, says he and his partners, David O. Hepps, M.D.; Shailen S. Sehgal, M.D.; and Arthur D. Thomas, M.D., are pleased to work with Dr. Bordeau to offer the highest quality medical and surgical approaches to a broad range of urologic problems in men and women, such as benign prostatic hypertrophy, bladder cancer, prostate cancer, erectile dysfunction, infertility, kidney stones, kidney cancer, prostatitis, urinary incontinence, urinary tract infections and overactive bladder. Urologic surgeons are specialists who perform a wide range of minimally invasive procedures, robotic-assisted procedures and major, complex reconstructive procedures. Many urologic conditions can be successfully treated in the office, with medication or minor surgical procedures.
Dr. Lutins says the practice’s expansion is bringing substantial benefits to patients. “We’re able to see more patients and to expedite their care so that wait times are decreased and there is greater flexibility and improved efficiency. We treat every possible urologic problem or emergency in a timely fashion; our goal is to see any patient within a week.”
