For lawyers, it means not having to dress up like Isaac Newton every time you go to court. Whatever it means to you, celebrate Independence Day with your community, on Wednesday, July 4. Baseball and softball games (no cricket) begin at 9 a.m. at Dixon Field. At noon, enjoy carnival games, food and all sorts of activities in Mt. Lebanon Park until 5. At 7 p.m., come up to Washington Road for a 7:30 concert in Clearview Common by Airborne, followed by a special Centennial fireworks display as soon as it gets dark enough. This year, fireworks will be launched from Mt. Lebanon Cemetery. Rain date for the fireworks is the next day.
