Remembering 9/11

A special ceremony on September 11 will remember and reflect on the 20th anniversary of the terrorist attack that took the lives of nearly 3,000 Americans. The program will start at 8:25 a.m. in front of the Public Safety Center, 555 Washington Road, and will include music and remembrances for the lives cost. Guest speakers include state Rep. Dan Miller and state Sen. Devlin Robinson. The ceremony will feature a moment of silence at 8:46 a.m. and 9:03 a.m. to coincide with the times the planes crashed into the World Trade Center.
Following the ceremony, a silent walk will weave its way through Mt. Lebanon Cemetery. The walk includes a timeline of the events that occurred on September, 11, 2001, and will be available to the public until 7 p.m.
