The police department reports the arrest of a 36-year-old woman for simple assault on McFarland Road; a 24-year-old woman was arrested on an outstanding warrant and possession of drug paraphernalia on Cochran Road; a Washington Road man overdosed on drugs and was transported to St. Clair Hospital; and police served a Mt. Lebanon resident with a protection-from-abuse order.
The fire department responded to 31 incidents this week, including an assist to Castle Shannon at a residential fire on Myrtle Avenue where they were able to remove the occupant from the home. Two Mt. Lebanon firefighters rescued a dog that is expected to survive. The firefighters responded to two additional fire-related incidents, including a trash can on fire at Bird Park and a stove top fire in an apartment on Cochran Road, and five rescue and emergency medical calls, including the extrication of an occupant from a vehicle at the intersection of Cedar and Gilkeson, the removal of an occupant from a stalled elevator at the Executive Building.
