Outdoor Eating

It’s starting to feel like summertime! But in the wake of COVID-19 cancellations and closures, many find themselves pining over summers gone by and longing for the return of their favorite sunny weather activities. Now that we’re entering the Green Phase of Governor Wolf’s reopening plan, some summer staples are making a slow comeback—in particular restaurant dining.

While some may still be leery to dine-in, many Mt. Lebanon restaurants with outdoor dining areas will be inviting customers back, effective Friday, June 5!

Here’s what we know about the outdoor dining options that will be available, with social distancing rules and CDC guidelines in place.

Please remember that, regardless of whether or not a restaurant has outdoor seating, most of them remain open for take-out orders. Visit the Mt. Lebanon Partnership page for more information. So if you’d like to create your own outdoor dining experience, pick up a meal from your favorite restaurant, and head to a lovely outdoor spot to chow down (all parks and fields have now reopened, too)!

Finally, please note that some restaurants with outdoor dining rooms will be opening soon, but are currently waiting to prep their spaces or put certain protocols in place. But if we’ve missed someone whose outdoor dining space is open this weekend (June 5 to 7), email us here.
