Trees are Treasures took center stage as this year’s theme for Mt. Lebanon’s Tree City USA/Arbor Day celebration at Markham school. A few raindrops couldn’t dampen spirits as much of the festivities moved into the gym, including songs, orchestra and band music and a proclamation from Commissioner Steve Silverman. Outside, the Tree City USA flag flew high and a student representative from each grade helped to plant a red maple for the next generations to cherish. See the film here:
