Welcome to Kristin Wessell, the new manager of the Uptown Mt. Lebanon Farmers’ Market. The market is on Saturday mornings from 9 to noon, beginning this season on May 10.

Wessell, a higher education software and services consultant, has lived in Mt. Lebanon for 22 years. She and her husband, Michael, live on Birch Avenue and are longtime patrons of the market. “I’m excited to be a part of it now, see it grow and become more vibrant,” she says. Wessell says the May 10 kickoff to this year’s season will be memorable, with prizes and a special art project for the kids. More information will be available on the Uptown Mt. As for the rest of the year, she has some plans that are still in development, but she assured us she will be able to spill some more details here next month.
