Experiencing a 911 emergency can be scary, we get it. We are not typically prepared for an unexpected medical event. And when one does occur, you might be too overwhelmed to answer our questions accurately. Or your loved one could be too confused or possibly even unresponsive to provide us with vital information that is pertinent to their medical care. Here are a few tips to be prepared for the unexpected.
From endless questions to medical procedures, the 911 experience may be quite overwhelming—especially if you are trying to think of the answers right on the spot. The easiest solution is to be prepared with a document with all the answers ready!
Here are common questions that we ask—and easy answers that you can have prepared for yourself or your loved one:
– What is your name, date of birth, and address?
– What is your medical history?
– Any known allergies to medications?
– What medications are your prescribed?
