Meet the library artists: Lauren Braun

In this new LeboMag.com exclusive series, we will be featuring a Q&A with the artists who have their work on display in the Mt. Lebanon Public Library each month. The library has galleries in the upper and lower hallways, along with display cases that are best for smaller works. The upper gallery is booked through March 2025. Interested in displaying your work? Check out the guidelines here! [1]

Name: Lauren Braun

Age: 46

Location: Swisshelm Park

Where/when can your art be found in the Mt. Lebanon Public Library? Lower Level hallway through the month of July

Art form: Collage

How did you get into this? I’ve been interested in visual art since childhood.

Tell us about your art. Is there a meaning behind it? What emotions do you intend to invoke?

The artwork on display at the library was inspired by walks in nature and colorful pebbles, seashells and leaves. I hope that my work helps library patrons to feel uplifted and inspired.

Why should Mt. Lebanon residents come see your display?

I am happy to display my work in Mt. Lebanon for the first time at the library. The Mt Lebanon Public Library is a fantastic branch and offers art exhibits both in the upstairs entry way and the lower level.

Where else can your work be found?

My website [2]and Instagram, [3]along with the BoxHeart Gallery [4] and Exposure Sewickley [5].
