Mt. Lebanon Magazine introduces Sabrina Romano, our fall 2015 editorial intern. A senior studying nonfiction writing and communication at the University of Pittsburgh, Romano started her journalism career at the Pitt News, the University of Pittsburgh’s student newspaper. She wrote features on anything ranging from a campus Marxist group to the University’s Greek life. She localized national issues when she wrote about students’ lack of donations to the Ebola cause in Africa.
Romano completed an internship at the Northside Chronicle, Northside’s monthly community newspaper, where she wrote feature stories and covered events. This past summer, she interned at Campus Philly, a nonprofit organization that fuels economic growth by encouraging college students to live, work and study in Philadelphia.
In her spare time, you can find her crocheting, reading or taking a walk through her Oakland neighborhood. On weeknights, she may binge-watch shows on Netflix, but she doesn’t like to admit that. Romano can be reached at skromano12@gmail.com [1] and writing samples are posted at www.sabrinaromano.com [2].
