Hi! I’m Steve Karlovich, the new advertising manager at Mt. Lebanon Magazine. I might be new here at the magazine, but I’ve been around Mt. Lebanon for most of my life.
I went to school at Hoover Elementary, Jefferson Middle School and Mt. Lebanon High School—when the old school was still considered new! I’ve lived in four different houses here over the years. I now call MacArthur Drive home, where I live with with my wife, Marianne, and (at least for now) my two adult daughters, Kate and Kristen (and their cats), and our dog, Trixie.
As the advertising manager, my role is to find, meet and convince the businesses and shops around town to promote their businesses through adverting in our community publication. Helping me do this is a great staff of account reps, whom I hope you will welcome when they call on your business.
Growing up, raising my daughters and living here, I have seen the many changes over the years. From school renovations, retail and residential developments and parks and recreation improvements. It has been interesting to see all of the transitions in our town.
While my girls were growing up, I was involved for many years with the Rec Department basketball and soccer leagues. It was a great place to meet local folks with school age kids.
These days, I frequently attend street fairs, parades and events across the municipality and see those parents still living here. If you want to meet me, come to the annual car show and look for my green, ’73 Dodge Charger.
My very first job was at Gracie’s General Store on Bower Hill Road. I’ve come full circle with a job at the municipal building in Uptown. Working at the publication is a great way to bring my career in publishing, advertising and real estate together, and bring the best of Mt. Lebanon to the pages of our magazine.
