INTRODUCING…Madeline Sklar, Mt. Lebanon Magazine’s summer 2016 intern.

A rising sophomore studying journalism and mass communication at the George Washington University, Sklar’s passion for journalism began at Mt. Lebanon High School where she wrote for and eventually served as editor-in-chief of the school newspaper, The Devil’s Advocate. Sklar now writes for GW’s student newspaper, The Hatchet, and enjoys writing features and news pieces about D.C. and GW.

Sklar, Arden Lane, was a longtime camp counselor and worked for Camp Chippeewee at the Mt. Lebanon Recreation Center last summer.

She loves to read the news, drink coffee and watch James Bond movies with her dad. And she may or may not have used her brother’s Netflix to binge-watch House of Cards.
