You remember all the talk about “Small Business Saturday,” when shoppers were (politely!) asked to ditch the Big Box stores in favor of hometown shops? That concept is the driving force behind Walk on Washington, May 19 from 4 to 9 p.m. on Washington Road in Mt. Lebanon’s Uptown. That’s when 40 businesses are scheduled to open their doors for demonstrations, tastings, music lessons and street performances to remind us all what our merchants do best.
