A SALUTE TO VETERANS Mt. Lebanon is planning a Veterans Day observance beginning at 5 p.m., on Sunday, November 11, at the Mt. Lebanon Veterans Memorial on Morgan Drive at the entrance to Mt. Lebanon Park. Check www.mtlebanon.org for details closer to the date of the event.

MT. LEBANON SCHOOL DISTRICT has been named a Google Reference District by Google for Education. Mt. Lebanon is one of fewer than a dozen Pennsylvania school districts to receive the designation, which is given to districts that demonstrate excellence and thought leadership through the innovative use of technology.

Google Reference Districts are expected to host one or more Google for Education events per year. This may include in-service days as well as invitations to other districts to visit Mt. Lebanon and learn about how to better use Google for Education digital tools.

ANTOINETTE OLIVER, Brucewood Drive, received the Kathryn M. Kenyon Leadership Award from the Allegheny County Bar Foundation. The award is given to an attorney who “demonstrates exceptional leadership and commitment to pro bono effort benefitting the most vulnerable in our communities.”

The Allegheny County Bar Foundation provides free legal services to people who are facing critical legal issues and are not able to afford attorneys to represent themselves.

Oliver, an attorney with Meyer Unkovic & Scott, is the Immediate Past President of the Pittsburgh Pro Bono Partnership. She volunteers as project manager for the Foundation’s Custody Conciliation and Landlord Tenant foundations.
