gift shopping made easy

You want a Father’s Day gift but you’re not sure what to get. A friend had a baby but you don’t have kids, and you don’t really know what a new mom would like. LaBella Baskets, founded in 2009, has it covered with more than 400 gift ideas—from hand-poured soy candles and homemade cookie bouquets to flowers that last for weeks. Newburn Drive resident Beth Malota started her franchise, which offers an extended product line with vibrant pictures online, or customers can have a personal shopper help them over the phone.

Gifts can be personalized with recipients’ names or with, say, a business logo of the giver, a product line with vibrant pictures online, or customers can have a personal shopper help them over the phone.

It’s a charitable company too. A portion of all the proceeds goes to the company’s “Baskets of Smiles” program, which donates baskets of essentials to struggling single moms.

Malota found LaBella to be a good fit because owners don’t have to purchase any inventory or host evening parties. “Your only job is to get the word out,” she says. “I’m really excited about it.”
