After nearly a year in planning, it’s finally here: October 2 through 7 is Plein Air Mt. Lebanon, when you’ll see artists spread out through our neighborhoods, painting what they see, from architecture to street scenes to little sights gone unnoticed. From Tuesday through Thursday, artists will be painting. Friday night is the gala when you find out which paintings won a share of the $6,000 cash prize. You also can meet the artists and buy the paintings. Tickets are still available for $125 each and include a $50 voucher toward the purchase of a painting.

On Saturday, watch the Mt. Lebanon Paint Out! Or grab a brush and easel and join in from 10 a.m. to noon. From street theater to talent shows, it will be a day of family friendly activities including live music from the Tumblers at 6  p.m.

To round out the week, visit the Mt. Lebanon Sunrise Rotary’s Art in the Park-ing Lot on Saturday, October 6, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday, October 7, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the Academy Avenue parking lot.
