fun for us. fun for us all.
There’s plenty to do in Mt. Lebanon on Sunday, July 8—and if you have the time and energy, you can do it all.

Starting at 9 a.m., the annual Classic Car Show will run along Washington Road between Lebanon Avenue and Cedar Boulevard (that section of the street will be closed between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m.). Peek under the hood of some vintage and classic cars and enjoy food vendors, shopping and live music provided by the Good Guys Duo in Clearview Common.
If engines aren’t your thing, you might find the Mt. Lebanon Library’s Annual Garden Tour a little more your speed (see what we did there?). From noon to 5 p.m., you can embark on a self-guided tour of seven local gardens. This year’s theme is Gentlemen Gardeners and all the gardens were designed and planted (primarily) by men. If the tour inspires you, swing by the library to shop the plant sale. Penn State master gardeners and a Pittsburgh Rose Society consulting rosarian will be on hand to help shoppers with their selections and provide planting tips. There will also be special deals in the library’s used bookstore. Tour tickets are $15 in advance (at the library after June 15) and $20 the day of the tour. You do not need a ticket for the plant sale, which also runs from noon to 5 p.m. If you would like to donate plants for the sale, bring them to the library’s lower level hallway, noon to 4 p.m., Saturday, July 9. Place plants in containers labeled with the plant’s name. Questions? Call 412-531-1912.

The library board of trustees will host a pre-tour Garden Party in the library garden courtyard from 6 to 8 p.m., Saturday, July 7, with live music, food donated by Mt. Lebanon restaurants, complimentary wine and beer, raffles and information about the courtyard’s plantings. Tickets are $30 per person in advance or at the door.
