everyone loves a parade…

It’s a good thing no one had the undesirable job of judging the 10 floats handmade by students at parents at our schools during the Centennial Parade Sept. 8. The craftsmanship, originality and high-spiritedness were top notch and it would have been impossible to choose just one.

Washington Elementary

Washington Elementary School’s float featured a larger-than-life George Washington.

 Hoover Elementary

Hoover proudly displayed its “Hoover Hawk” mascot among live greenery.

Jefferson Elementary

Jefferson Elementary’s float opened all the doors of our imagination.

 Markham Elementary

Howe Elementary

Howe Elementary celebrated “The Wisdom of Geese” on its imaginative float.

Foster Elementary

Foster’s fabulous oak tree was the centerpiece of its float.

Lincoln Elementary

Lincoln, Lincoln everywhere. The man himself was center stage on Lincoln Elementary’s float.

Mellon Middle School

Mellon Middle School proudly flew Lebo colors at the Sept. 8 parade.

High School

The cheerleaders and Blue Devil mascot lead the way for the high school in Saturday’s parade.
