Harmony Singers of Pittsburgh Spring Show, 8 p.m., Saturday, April 25 and 2:30 p.m., Sunday, April 26, at the Chartiers Valley Intermediate School, 2030 Swallow Hill Road. The Historical Society of Mount Lebanon presents a lecture and slide show on the Mt. Lebanon Cemetery at 1 p.m., Sunday, May 3, at the Mt. Lebanon History Center, 794 Washington Road. The lecture will cover the history of the cemetery, little known sections of the cemetery, the famous people buried there (a congressman, two Medal of Honor recipients, and one of the stars of Flashdance), the famous person not buried there, and some of the more interesting headstones. Take home a special edition map to do your own self-guided walking tour. Tickets $10 ($5 for society members) and must be purchased in advance at lebohistory.org [2].

 

The South Side Community Council’s Historic South Side Home Tour will be held from 10 to 4 on Saturday, May 16. This year’s tour will feature housing diversity, from newly remodeled 19th century row houses to beautifully repurposed lofts and contemporary homes with an industrial style. Advance tickets are $18 and day-of tickets can be purchased for $20 beginning at 10 on the morning of the tour at the check-in site, UPMC Mercy South Side Outpatient Center, 2000 Mary Street.
