This issue is dedicated to you … and to giving you all the information you need to be an active, engaged part of our community. Whether you grew up here or just moved here yesterday, the information in this guide will be helpful to you.
Learn what’s new, notable and interesting in all of the municipal departments. Get information on upcoming projects and events and learn who does what in your local government. We hope you will keep this guide around all year to refer to whenever a question comes up.
Please make sure to check out the 2022 Popular Annual Financial Report, page 35. The report takes the municipality’s financial data and presents it in a way that everyone can understand, even if you don’t have a finance degree. We know you work hard for your money and it’s important for us to be transparent with how your tax dollars are being spent.
You live in an award-winning community with 34,074 other individuals. We are all different—we have unique backgrounds and our own sets of experiences. We may speak different languages, and we may celebrate in various ways and see the world through different lenses. But we all care about this community. Chances are you moved here because of our excellent school district, our amazing recreation programs and facilities or our walkability. We hope you stay for the people and for the excellent municipal services. We also hope this guide helps you feel right at home and that you find something new to explore.
