Orchid Growing Basics

10 a.m., Tuesday, March 4
In advance of the Orchid Society of Western Pennsylvania’s spring show, former society president Sheila Nathanson will be at the Mt. Lebanon Public Library to discuss the basics of growing orchids. Nathanson is a longtime orchid hobbyist and has multiple awards from the American Orchid Society.

Mt. Lebanon High School Art Show

Friday, April 25
The annual Mt. Lebanon High School Art Show returns on April 25 from 7 to 9 p.m. More than 700 student works of art will be showcased in the C20 lobby, second floor and center court. Selected prints of framed and unframed student work will be sold alongside a silent auction featuring original pieces. Proceeds benefit the Mt. Lebanon Foundation for Education. Free admission, family-friendly.

These two plays by Celeste Raspanti, directed by Wayne Brinda, honor the 80th anniversary of the Terezin Camp Liberation as part of the enGAGE genocide education program in partnership with Holocaust Center of Pittsburgh. Prime Stage Theatre at the New Hazlett Center for the Performing Arts.

Sound Series: Flore Laurentienne

Tuesday, March 25
The Warhol Theater welcomes Flore Laurentienne, a project by composer Mathieu David Gagnon, known for his orchestral soundscapes and analog synth experimentation. Doors open at 7 p.m., event begins at 8 p.m. $25 for general admission, $20 for members and students.

Martha’s Run

Saturday, April 12
Martha’s Run, a 10K race through Mt. Lebanon, begins at 9 a.m. at Mt. Lebanon High School. Additional events include a two-mile run, one-mile run/walk and kids’ races followed by food, music and celebration. Community Pancake Dinner
