Classic cars will line the 600-700 block of Washington Road, as the Mt. Lebanon Police Department presents its 25th annual classic car show. The free, rain-or-shine event starts at 9 a.m. and includes food, vendors and live music by The Good Guys Duo. Stop by for all the fun and help the Mt. Lebanon Police Association, Dormont-Mt. Fireworks displays are making a comeback this year! No need for your own show. We’ve got you covered. The Mt. Lebanon Recreation Department is bringing back the July 4 concert in the park, too! The Delaneys will take the stage at 7:30 p.m., followed by fireworks at 9:30 p.m. Rain date is July 5. Although daytime activities such as the climbing wall, petting zoo, games and more are still on hold, odds are pretty good that we will be back to a full-on community day next time the Fourth rolls around.

See birds in a new way! Join the National Aviary and L.L. Bean at North Park Lake for a birding adventure by kayak. This adventure includes on-land kayaking instruction and a guided tour on the water to scan for birds. Cost is $75 per person. Registration is required. Aviary.org [2]

Concerts in the Park
Allegheny County’s Summer Concert Series is making a big return for 2021! A special Saturday night performance is set for July 3 at 8:15 p.m. featuring the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra. All other shows begin at 7:30 p.m., Friday nights at South Park and Sunday nights at Hartwood Acres. South Park shows include Albert Cummings, July 9; Lakeview, July 16; Aaron Lee Tasjan, July 23; Berlin, July 30; The Spinners, August 6; Low Cut Connie, August 13; Spyro Gyra, August 20; and Shayna Steele, August 27.
