SUMMER LEAGUE SIGNUPS
- The South Hills Senior Softball League, for men ages 55 and up, is now accepting players for 2019. The league
runs April through August. - The Mt. Lebanon Senior Men’s Golf Club, for men ages 55 and up, is accepting new members. The club meets Wednesday mornings at the Mt. Lebanon Golf Course from April through October.
- The Women’s Golf Association of Mt. Lebanon, open to residents and non-residents, is accepting new members. The club meets Tuesday mornings at the Mt. Lebanon Golf Course from April through October.

CUPS FOR A CAUSE

In memory of Carol Bodamer, a Mt. Lebanon mother who died in 2013, the Bodamer family is hosting its sixth annual Cups for a Cause event to raise money for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. This event, at 4 p.m. at the Bethel Park Community Center, includes dinner, a beer pong tournament, face painting, a balloon artist and more.

CREATING A JAPANESE GARDEN

How can you create a peaceful Japanese Garden at your home? Dr. Brenda G. Jordan from the University of Pittsburgh’s Asian Studies Center will tell you at 6 p.m. at the Pittsburgh Botanic Garden. This event is free and open to the public.
THE DROWSY CHAPERONE

Little Lake Theatre Company kicks off its 2019 season with The Drowsy Chaperone, a parody of American musical theater of the 1920s. The vibrant cast of characters includes two lovers on the eve of their wedding, two gangsters posing as pastry chefs, an intoxicated chaperone and more. Tickets start at $14.

Billed as “an original play for very young children and the grown-ups who love them,” My Traveling Song is a new play created by a team of female artists, some of whom reside here in Mt. Lebanon. Produced by a local theater company, the Haiwatha Project, this play will be performed at Carnegie Stage.
TARTAN DAY

Bagpipers, fiddlers, dancers, food, raffles, Celtic workshops and shopping are all part of what makes Tartan Day such a lasting tradition in the South Hills. This free celebration will be held at Bethel Presbyterian Church in Bethel Park from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
KEYNOTES FASHION SHOW

DENTAL CLINIC

Mission of Mercy Pittsburgh is seeking more than a thousand volunteers to help with a free two-day dental clinic at PPG Paints Arena. In addition to general volunteers to help with registration and coordination, they also need dentists, hygienists and other clinical professionals. The clinic is on a first-come, first-served basis, and capacity is completely dependent on the number of volunteers. If interested, please register now.
