WWII Exhibit in Lebo

The Heinz History Center’s We Can Do It! WWII exhibit is coming to the Historical Society of Mount Lebanon’s newly renovated exhibition space on Washington Road! The 500-square foot exhibit explores Western Pennsylvania’s impact on the WWII, specifically the development of the jeep, the stories behind Rosie the Riveter and the contributions of the Tuskegee Airmen who helped turn the tide of the war.

Each winter, the Mt. Lebanon Recreation Department hosts five trips to Hidden Valley for students in sixth through eighth grade. What does it mean to be international at this moment in time? The Carnegie International, which Andrew Carnegie instituted in 1896 to help inspire local audiences and artists through contemporary art, seeks to answer that question. Occurring every four to five years, the 2018-2019 exhibition presents the work of 32 artists, collectives and one independent exhibition maker. www.CMOA.org
FULL MOON HIKE

Go on a two-hour hike through South Park by moonlight. This free hike meets at the Oliver Miller Homestead Parking Lot at 8 p.m. Hikers should bring a flash light, but plan not to use them on the trail, which is two miles with moderate elevation changes. Registration required.
WOMEN IN THE MILITARY

Women from different eras come together to talk about their military experience in a panel discussion at Heinz History Center. The event begins at 7 p.m. and is open to the public.
