MAKE A GINGERBREAD HOUSE!

UNDRESSED

Get a unique perspective on 300 years’ worth of fashion history at Undressed: A History of Fashion in Underwear. WINTER FORAGING

Not all plants have called it quits for the year! Wild foods and foraging expert Adam Haritan from LearnYourLand.com will lead a winter walk in Bird Park on Sunday, December 3, from 1 to 3 p.m. You will search for edible plants and mushrooms, see some interesting trees and learn about the toxic winter species that are best left alone. WILDE AT THE FRICK

Celebrate Oscar Wilde in a four-part series at the Frick Art Museum from December 6 to 10. First, In the Company of Oscar Wilde, a U.S. premiere composed of the words and writings of Wilde, will run every day of the festival. Oscar Wilde Fairy Tales, a family-friendly reading of two of his famous fairy tales written for his sons, will open for one performance only on Saturday, December 9. The festival will conclude with The Trial of Oscar Wilde on Sunday, December 10, featuring a re-creation of Wilde’s final cross-examination. www.PICTTheatre.org.

SYMPHONY OF THE GODDESS

The Legend of Zelda Nintendo game franchise turns 30, so Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra will celebrate with a two-hour concert featuring a reimagined score based on iconic Zelda tunes.  The concert on Thursday, December 14, at 7:30 p.m., includes a 57-piece orchestra, 20-person choir and a video collage spotlighting exciting moments from the franchise. www.PittsburghSymphony.org.

VID KID MOBILE GAME DESIGN

If “Mom and Dad can hardly wait for school to start again,” the Mt. Lebanon Recreation department will get your 9-to-13-year-old out of your hair for two days over holiday break to teach them about mobile game design! ROCKY RETURNS

Back for nine performances only, Rocky Bleier, Virginia Manor, returns to Pittsburgh Public Theater to perform his one-man-show, The Play.
