Voices from the Attic

Imagine clearing out your family’s attic and discovering hundreds of letters written during the Civil War. This happened to Carleton Young, author of Voices from the Attic: The Williamstown Boys in the Civil War, which tells the story of the historical journey that began when the letters were uncovered. Dracula at the Ballet

See PBT at its spookiest with Dracula, October 27-29, at the Benedum Center for the Performing Arts. Based on Bram Stoker’s 1897 gothic novel and set to Franz Liszt’s classic score, the ballet will incorporate flying, levitation and pyrotechnics to make the choreography even more climactic. www.PBT.org 

 

Get a Clue at Little Lake

Just 20 minutes away from Mt. Lebanon, Little Lake Theatre is a fun night out any day of the week. Clue: The Musical is running weekends at Little Lake from October 12 to 28. Joe Negri Concert

Jazz guitarist and Pittsburgh icon Joe Negri is performing his jazz-inspired Mass of Hope at Andrew Carnegie Free Library and Music Hall at 7:30 p.m., Saturday, October 7. The MT. LEBANON JUNIOR WOMEN’S CLUB HOLIDAY MARKET is Saturday, November 11 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Mt. Lebanon United Lutheran Church, 975 Washington Road. The juried show features handmade goods, gifts and art from local artisans and crafters. Bake sale and a 50/50 raffle. Attendees can donate canned goods to the Wallace Food Pantry and have lunch from one of the two food trucks (can’t say which ones yet, but they’ll be pretty awesome.
