QUILT SHOW TURNS 30 Three Rivers Quilters will host its 30th annual quilt show March 21 through 23 at the IBEW Circuit Center, 5 Hot Metal Street, South Side. This year’s theme is “Tessellations,” and more than 130 colorful quilts will be on display along with free quilting demonstrations, a wide variety of quilting and fiber arts vendors, a quilter’s flea market and a snack café. Organizers expect more than 2,000 quilt lovers from all over the tri-state area to attend. Hours are: Thursday, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.; Friday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.; and Saturday, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Admission is $7 with a special $5 admission on Thursday between 3 and 7 p.m. Three Rivers Quilters is a nonprofit group that meets in the South Hills and promotes the art of quilting through classes and charitable projects. www.threeriversquilters.org.

CLOWN AROUND Comedian, mime and writer Dan Kamin, Avon Drive, will perform his Classical Clown routine with the Edgewood Symphony, 7:30 p.m., Saturday, March 16, and 3 p.m., Sunday March 17, at the Jewish Community Center of Greater Pittsburgh in Squirrel Hill. In the show, a classical concert goes horribly wrong when an annoying mime battles conductor Walter Morales for control of the symphony. The concert weds great musical classics by Beethoven, Stravinsky, Strauss and others with comedy. Kamin created the physical comedy sequences for the movies Chaplin and Benny and Joon. DON’T MISS THE BASH The members of BASH (Black Association of South Hills for Women) will host their annual Scholarship Fundraiser Luncheon and Fashion Show at 11 a.m., on Saturday, March 23, at The DoubleTree by Hilton, 500 Mansfield Avenue, Green Tree. MAGIC Music for Mt. Lebanon departs from its traditional format to end its season on a magical note.
