Well, that may be the password for the old speakeasies, but for the hot ticket in town this month, the password is “Outreach.”

Outreach Teen & Family Services is having its annual gala, called “A Night at the Speakeasy,” at Sienna Mercato on Tuesday, April 28 from 6 to 9 p.m. Special guest is former Pittsburgh Pirates player and broadcaster Steve Blass. The evening will include silent auctions, live auctions, signature cocktails and top-notch food.

Tickets are $100 each and are available through the Outreach office at: info@outreachteen.org [1] or 412-561-5405.

And we weren’t kidding. The password really is “Outreach.”

bags! bellinis! brunch!

Bags glass [4]All of those things will be in alignment from noon to 2 p.m., Sunday, April 12, at the Herberman Conference Center, UPMC Cancer Pavilion in Shadyside. The event is a fundraiser for Satchels of Caring, a nonprofit that provides cancer patients with hand-sewn satchels containing therapeutic and inspirational items.
