Editors’ pick: Holiday Window Display

Get lost in the ’50s at the Mt. Lebanon History Center [1], 794 Washington Road. Enjoy a village scene with stars formed using Glass Wax, a decorative technique often used in the 1950s. Stop by any time! The display can be seen from the outside, in the window on the left side of the building.

It’s a holiday classic! This year, Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre will also welcome local celebrities in cameo roles on select dates.  See The Nutcracker [2] at the Benedum Center.

Visit Freedom Farms [3] in Valencia from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. and enjoy more than 50 craft vendors and fresh, locally sourced Christmas trees and wreaths. Plus, see Santa! Admission is $5/person, free for kids 3 and under. Admission includes a tractor ride, the animal barn, swings and face painting.

For those furry friends in your life! A seasonal workshop for all ages. Create toys that are both pet-safe and creative for dogs, cats, and even rabbits! Take the toys home or donate them to Animal Friends. 10 a.m. to noon, Trust Arts Education Center, 805 Liberty Avenue.

 

 

 

 

Sound of the Season

The South Hills Chorale performs its holiday concert Sound of the Season at Christ United Methodist Church, Bethel Park under the direction of Music Director Skylar Bunk, who’s debuting a choral arrangement he wrote in celebration of the ensemble’s 60th anniversary.
