David Alan is living his dream as a personal stylist for celebrities, professional athletes and businesspeople. Now, it’s leading him directly to Washington Road Uptown.
David Alan Clothing [1] will be opening soon in the space vacated by PNC Bank, 620 Washington Road. April or May is the target date.
In addition to custom suits and custom shoes for men and women, David Alan Clothing will offer a ready-to-wear line made from high end fabrics handmade in the United States. Alan describes his vision as Apple Store meets high-end clothing boutique. “Everything with our brand since day one, we’ve really harped on the experience,” he said.
The unique experience awaiting customers visiting the Uptown location will include a lounge area with a bar serving coffee, espresso and alcohol. Retail and shoe areas will be graced by a podcast studio that will host celebrities and athletes from across the country.
Alan, a South Hills native who currently operates an appointment-only location on Mt. Washington, plans to move to Mt. Lebanon in a year or two to be closer to his new headquarters. “As a community, I just enjoy every aspect of Mt. Lebanon,” Alan said. “It has such a great feel about it, we decided it’s the right space for us.”
