congrats to new board appointees

Last night, the Commission appointed a number of people to serve terms as members of Mt. Lebanon’s volunteer boards and authorities.  These residents meet with their colleagues on a regular schedule throughout the year, bringing their special expertise to the boards and making recommendations to the commission.  Their commitment provides Mt. Lebanon with professional expertise we would not otherwise be able to  afford. If you are interested in serving on a board or authority, go to http://www.mtlebanon.org/index.aspx?nid=29, where you can read about the various responsibilities and download a common application. It is best to apply for a specific board.  Some board appointments are by ward; some are at-large and some boards have a combination of ward and at-large appointments.

Reappointed last night to an additional term were:  Susanne Wagner, Kingsberry Circle, Community Relations Board; Patricia Calvelo, Valleyview Road, Historic Preservation Board; Yvette Yescas, Arrowood Drive, Historic Preservation Board; James Cappucci, Roycroft Avenue, Library Board; Michelle Heck, Scrubgrass Road, Library Board; Dennis Pitman, Anawanda Avenue, Planning Board; William Pope, Shady Lane, Planning Board, Michelle Galati, Main Entrance Drive, Zoning Hearing Board, and Karl Jarek, Sunrise Drive, Hospital Authority.

Appointed first terms or to fill unexpired terms were:  Hillary Taylor, Mississippi Avenue, Board of Appeals; Elaine Evosevic-Lozada, Royce Avenue, Economic Development Council; Euclid Noble, Park Entrance Drive, Economic Development Council; Patrick Eberz, Navahoe Drive, Environmental Sustainability Board; James Martin, Mayfair Drive;  Preservation Board; Carrie Beck, White Oak Circle, Parks Advisory Board; Kevin Renne, Fieldbrook Avenue, Pension Investment Advisory Board; Harry Gerhardt, Vanderbilt Drive, Traffic Board; James Cannon, Craigview Drive, Zoning Hearing Board Alternate, and Robert Cooley, Country Club Drive, Traffic Board.

Each board and authority has a commission liaison and a staff liaison.  Assistant Manager Marcia Taylor handles all applications.
