Holiday for the Birds In his 1963 classic The Birds, Hitchcock showed us what can happen when birds go too long without a little holiday break. So to keep us all safe, once a year the Mt. Lebanon Nature Conservancy holds Holiday for the Birds, to let the little guys blow off some steam. At 10 a.m., Saturday, December 5, at the library, preschoolers (ages 3 to 6) can make a biodegradable bird feeder, hear stories, and learn about local birds and animals with naturalist Verna McGinley.
