Mt. Lebanon Municipal Manager Steve Feller is leaving his position after 14 years on October 15 to become trust administrator and chief administrative officer of Municipal Risk Management, a nonprofit that offers workers compensation insurance to municipalities.
In the interim, Municipal Planner Keith McGill will serve as interim manager and Finance Director Andrew McCreery will oversee the municipal budget, a process that begins with submission of a recommended budget to the Commission by November 1. The 2016 budget will then be approved in December.
In September, Mt. Lebanon hired Gov HR USA, a Chicago-area executive recruitment firm, to conduct a nationwide search for Feller’s replacement. The firm is still shaping the recruitment process, which typically takes about three months and includes on-site interviews of commissioners, staff and focus groups before recruiting and interviewing for the job and making a recommendation to the Commission, the body to which the manager reports. The goal is to have a new manager in place by the end of the year.
