Calling All Top Pizza Chefs

Want to try your hand at becoming a top pizza chef? Caliente Pizza & Draft House at 329 Castle Shannon Boulevard in Mt. Lebanon is holding a pizza making contest as part of a year-long anniversary celebration.
Caliente Pizza holds three world titles and was named the “Best Pizza in America 2019” at the World Pizza Champions contest in Parma, Italy.
“We thought for our 10th anniversary, what could we have our customers do to get a championship pizza on the menu?” said Caliente owner and founder Nick Bogacz.
Between now and June 10, you can pick up a specially created Caliente Pizza kit for $9.99 at the Mt. Lebanon location or one of the six other locations in the Pittsburgh area.
“Be the most creative you can be. I’m excited to see some different stuff I haven’t seen yet. This is gonna be cool,” said Anton Zupancic, general manager of Caliente’s Mt. Lebanon restaurant.

Whip up a recipe with whatever toppings you’d like, then share photos of your final product on Caliente’s social media accounts.
Four finalists will be chosen to face off in person at Caliente’s Aspinwall location on Wednesday, June 15.
The winner will receive a trophy and free pizza for a year. The winning recipe will be featured on the menu in July and August, plus $1 from every sale of the creator’s pizza will go to a charity of their choice.
The three other finalists will also win a consolation prize.
