Like so many others, owner Bridget Bowes, Upper St. Clair, got her first dog in 2020, during the pandemic. “My little cavapoo, Reagan, stole my heart and burned a hole in my wallet,” she said.
The frustration of looking for one store where she could find all of her (and Reagan’s) favorite quality brands inspired the creation of Bowes and Bones.
“I really wanted to curate a collection of items for both dogs and dog lovers,” she explained. At press time, Bowes was planning an October opening.
Bowes and Bones will stock treats, beds, bowls, harnesses, leashes, collars, toys and carriers, with the focus on items that fit in with the décor of your home. “We will also cater to dog lovers as well, carrying jewelry, frames, books, matching apparel, and more,” Bowes said.
