GOOD LUCK, JEAN! Mt. Lebanon Magazine account executive Jean Peterson is retiring after a 22-year career helping local companies promote their businesses in the pages of the magazine. A longtime Mt. Lebanon resident, she and her husband, Tom, raised three daughters, Lauren, Bridget and Ellen, in their Ruth Street home. Tom, a shareholder in the law firm of Tucker Arensberg, is the solicitor for the Mt. Lebanon School District. In retirement, Jean plans to spend more time cooking, gardening, golfing and vacationing with family in Florida.
WELCOME our new content creator, Stephanie Hacke. Stephanie is a South Hills native who has worked as a writer and communicator for more than a decade. Her past work includes covering the South Hills for Trib Total Media and working as a freelance writer with a focus on local government and education.
In her spare time, Stephanie loves to run, shop and consume more coffee than is humanly acceptable.
She lives in Upper St. Clair and is on the hunt for the perfect pup to be her new roomie.
HAIKUS RETURN TO UPTOWN This month, the dormant planters in Uptown will start blooming with haikus. In this joint municipality-school district-Mt. Lebanon Partnership project, middle school students write haikus, which will be made into posters and displayed in the business district. Like last year, the poems will focus on nature, but this time look for haikus about how nature has helped us cope with the COVID-19 pandemic.
