Sarah Hudak is Mt. Lebanon’s junior commissioner for the fall term. The Mt. Lebanon High School senior is a member of the National Honor Society, and has served in student government since she was a freshman. Hudak, Jefferson Drive, plays varsity tennis and lacrosse, and works as a peer tutor with students who want to improve their writing skills. Kate Yang will fill the junior commissioner slot in the Spring 2024 semester. The Willow Drive junior is student council president of her graduating class, and has also logged more than 100 volunteer hours, mostly at the Animal Friends shelter in Pittsburgh. A member of the Future Business Leaders of America, Yang founded the Upcycling Club at the high school, which enables students to repurpose unwanted materials.

Attorney Elizabeth Chiappetta, Sunnyhill Drive, has been named president of the Pennsylvania Association for Justice (PAJ), a nonprofit dedicated to maintaining a fair and effective statewide justice system. Chiappetta, a partner with Robert Peirce & Associates, has been a PAJ member for 15 years, and has served on its board of governors and on its executive committees. She has also served as president of the Western Pennsylvania Trial Lawyers Association, and as co-coordinator of the Long-Term Care Clinic of the Pittsburgh Pro Bono Partnership.
