Assos, Turkey: The first settlements of Assos can be dated to the 6th century BCE with The Temple of Athena dating to 530 BCE. Aristotle came here to co-found The Stoic School, The Persians came to take in away from the Greeks, Alexander the Great came here to take it back, St. Paul came here to bring Jesus and the Seljuk Turks came here to build an empire.
